Gillespie Macandrew - Eastern Promise Road Race

Wednesday 8th June 2011 (7pm)

HOWGATE CIRCUIT

Edinburgh RC, supported by the East of Scotland Cycling Association and Scottish Cycling and generously sponsored by Gillespie Macandrew presents the Eastern Promise Road Race on the Howgate Circuit. The race is Regional A category for cats 2/3/4. The race HQ is at Rosewell Pavilion and the race then runs three time around the undulating and demanding Howgate Circuit before its finish at Cauldhall Moor. The total distance to be raced is 46 miles.

The map below gives details of the course. The race starts at 7:00pm and will finish about 2 hours later. Cost to enter is £10 if entering in advance or £15 on the day. Entry will be available online at EntryCentral. You can also enter by sending an entry form and cheque to the organiser as shown below.

The race HQ and sign-on will be open from 5:30pm. At sign-on, competitors must present their licenses, which will be returned in exchange for their race numbers after the finish. Sign-on closes at 6:45pm. The race will run under the rules of Scottish Cycling. Drinks (tea/coffee/juice) and food will be available after the race.

 

A service car will be provided so bring spare wheels if you can and we will load into service vehicle.

Odd numbers front wheel, even numbers rear wheel.

WARNING: In 2009 a bike was stolen from outside the pavilion. Please either lock your bikes in your car or bring them inside the pavilion.
