Eastern Promise Road Race
HOWGATE CIRCUIT - Wednesday 11th June 2008 (7pm)
Edinburgh RC, supported by the East of Scotland Cycling Association and Scottish Cycling presents the Eastern Promise Road Race on the Howgate Circuit. The race is for all categories, male and female, from Elite to Veteran and Junior. The race HQ is at Rosewell Pavilion and the race then runs three time around the undulating and demanding Howgate Circuit before its finish at Cauldhall Moor. The total distance to be races is 46 miles.
The map below gives details of the course. The race starts at 7:00pm and will finish about 2 hours later. Cost to enter is £10 if entering in advance or £12 on the day. Entry is available online at EntryCentral by clicking this link. You can also enter by sending an entry form and cheque to the organiser as shown below.
The race HQ and sign-on will be open from 5:30pm. At sign-on, competitors must present their licenses, which will be returned in exchange for their race numbers after the finish. Sign-on closes at 6:45pm. The race will run under the rules of Scottish Cycling. Drinks (tea/coffee/juice) and food will be available after the race.
