Cracking PBs by Brian and Miguel to go under 24 for the first time.
Well done to Sean Campbell on his first ever ride on a road bike, never mind race.

Well done Brian and Miguel I told you you had no excuses after your rides on Saturday ;)

I rode in a local 10 run by Elgin cc up here in moray last night, they have a series much like the kirky ten and as it turns out I won with a 22.36 my second fastest ten this season. All off the back of a great team time trial.

So your next target is to breach the 23 minute mark lads!

all the best Paul

Thanks everyone who put the time in to organise, marshal & time... I was a bit nervous about my maiden TT but it was all very smooth and friendly!

Unfortunately I've now had my only guaranteed PB!  ;)

See you next week!

Hi all,

Cheers Paul, i had your words from Sat in my mind during it last night so perhaps that was the inspiration ?????

Mind you hit 40 in May and seem to be getting faster with age...like a good wine ehh.

Hope now to do a couple of end of season open events ???

cheers

The Tour of the Trossachs is a classic hilly TT, also the Glenkinchie 2 up TT is great, you and Miguel would be ideal partners as you are so close on times?

It felt great, very low at the front, but I have the age old problem of crunching up and banging my elbows with my knees when on the tri bars. I need to relax and stretch out a bit. I also need to get used to the bar end shifters too! I kept reaching for the hoods to change :-(

I knocked nearly a minute off my PB, but this wasn't completely down to the bike but some recent tough interval sessions and stength work as I felt much faster on the climbs last night.

On a good/flatter course I'd have dipped under 25 mins which is may next goal  ;D

The Trossachs sounds like a great course, but I may do that and Glenkinchie on my road bike as I haven't mastered climbing on a TT bike yet!

When I was trying to find the kirky route online, I couldn't see any contour lines so expected it to be flat! Needless to say I was rudely disabused of that notion after the first couple of minutes  ::)

kirky's like a very bumpy 10 mile cattle grid
