No problem Brian,

I suggest that you should be in our strongest team and hopefully riders like Colin McKenzie or Oli Del Corto might be able to ride with you.

Also Gary Bell is looking for a team and Gary's been going really well.

Cheers Kevin.

Whos Talent Select? How are they all first? What about Granite City - how come they all have the same helmets? Why are we right behind them? What does it all mean?

Good luck George - hope you have a good event. I am sure you will be sailing through the 'talent select' teams.

Morning George,

the "Talent Select" are the youngsters who are in SC youth development group. This event gives the coaches a chance to see what they are like over a bit of a longer distance and how they work together and suffer the pain.

Team one is a Peebles CC / Edinburgh Racers combine with two girls and one boy with a combined age of 41... that's why they are going off first, get the picture  ;)

Keep an eye out for team 5 though,  Steeno is going to give up all pretentions of being an endurance rider if (when) they give him and the COERC codgers a cuffing !

The three up is 27 miles. Is that right on the limit for U16 race distances? Maybe they're changed the rules since I was a nipper.

Steeno got round the Bute 2up ok. He can't be that bad at endurance. Various sprinters have ridden the Team Pursuit after all.

Of course a sprinter can become an endurance rider they just have to train a little harder ! !..... remember that a sprinter is really just a lazy endurance rider ! ha ha, only joking !

Yes your right neil the limit for the youths is 25 miles so the talent selct teams will only be doing 2 laps. Both team 5 and team 6 will be surprising a few people I think.........the guy I was comforting the other day when we both got pumped from ther saturday bunch was surprised/depressed) to say the least that the tall fella looking very comfortable as we went out the ar*e was 15 !!!......

must do some training !...

good luck to everybody racing and remember to give the youth riders some encourage ment if you catch them.

;)

A combined age of 41 - that means 13 year olds........Jees now I feel old ::). Kirkie's the nipper on our team!

Well at least in 10 - 15 years time when I'm watching the T'dF, I can tell the wee one, "See him, I rode in the same race as him. Of course, that was back in the days when bikes were bikes, blah blah blah....." :)

Keep an eye out for team 5! What, when we're passing the start for the third circuit, and their kickin about in trainers?

See you tomorrow George.
