Something like this.....

1. Take your picture with your digital camera or phone.

2. Upload your picture or pictures onto your PC.

3. Open your picture using the right hand buttom of your mouse and drag down to Open With Paint use opened up on Paint.

4. Left click on the mouse on Image on the top of the page drag down to Resize/Skew...
Horizonal put in 30 that's the size that I have been using.
Vertial put in 30 that's the size that I have been using.
 click OK

5. Go up to the top left hand corner to File and go down to Save As... Click on my Documents go to File name and give your picture a name. Then Save as type JPEG click on Save.

6. Go to http://photobucket.com/ or http://imageshack.us/ there are lots of other ones to. Choose a Username and a Password. Write down your Username and Password details so you do not forget them.

7. Uploading an image using Photobucket sign your Username and Password click on using images & videos from my computer a new window will open normally the window where your pictures were just saved onto. If no then just click on the folder you saved the pictures in.

8. Look for your picture then left click on your mouse it should now appear in File name. Below File type should be JPEG.

9. Left click on Open.

10. It should upload automatically in this case using Photobucket.

11. Place your mouse on/over your picture and the picture codes should be just below it, look for the [IMG] code, and with the mouse use the left hand buttom click drag your PC mouse along the whole [IMG] code.

12. Open a New Tab, go to the ERC website to your post/message and with the right hand buttom paste the [IMG] code into your ERC post/message. Click on Post or Preview first of all if you like.

13. Hopefully you sould have your picture posted on the ERC website.

Its just practice, like building bicycles and cycling.

It should be a lot easier and more straightforward than that if Ken allows a file upload to the sites web servers? I'm sure he'll have some storage along with the site, as long as people don't go too crazy wiht uploading pics, there's usually a file size limit with these things.

Pics are great for keeping the forum going

and that's the point - how do you stop people going crazy?
Every other forum I'm a member of requires the use of Photobucket, Imageshack etc and I don't think changing to hosting pics on ERCs host server is the way to go especially if (as I suspect) the amount of space Ken has to play with on the server isn't that great.

Agreed but the existing system works fine and is easy & straightforward to use especially now this thread is available as reference.

If James guide isn't enough, there's about another 3million how to post pictures in a forum articles available via Google and  some even have a photo or YouTube video guide  :D
The older I get, the faster I was! :P

Why thank you Neil, the whole idea of this D.I.Y. posting pictures on the ERC website is to be helpful and also of some use to other ERC members that might be wondering how its done.
