Venue : Kirkliston Sports Centre - see map

The event doubles as both a serious test for winter fitness levels and an excellent opportunity for newcomers to the sport to try it as their first event. All you need is a serviceable bike and your helmet.

The run route is :    Out of the Sports Centre to the roundabout and turn right, under  the M'way bridge for about 200m and turn right up the Humbie Farm entrance road.   Up to the farm, turn left and right across the yard onto the lane.   Turn left (west) down to a junction ( c. 700m) and turn left again.   Down to the Main road and turn left and back to the Sports Centre.   Approximately 4km

The Bike course goes west along the B9080 thru' Winchburgh to Bridgend.    The turn is round a triangular island on the left at the foot of the Bridgend Road,  i.e. a quick left and right round the island and back onto the main road. The course is all on tarmac and on  relatively quiet roads. Approximately 16km.

The turn will be signed & marshalled.
