Aidan McIlroy ESCA Road Race Champion

7th in the main event for ERC's top road man.

On a wet and blustery day Aidan McIlroy displayed the club colors in fine style by finishing 7th in the last round of the Scottish Power Renewables SuP6R Six series. 

In the closing stages with 5 riders up the road Aidan Road away from the bunch and held off all but one rider from the bunch sprint.  Aidan is also the East of Scotland Road Race Champion as he was the first ESCA rider to cross the line.

Last years ESCA winner Ross Crook just missed out on a top ten and claimed 11th place.

Eairlier in the day Colin May proved that he can gallop as well as climb by just missing out on the win in the bunch sprint by half a wheel.  Colin claimed his 3rd podium of the series including a win and 3rd overall in the B event.
