The Trailquest Scotland series continues with the Peebles Trailquest on Sunday 1st May.
Mountain Bike Orienteering (AKA Trailquest) is an exciting and fun mountain biking off-road event where you choose the course to collect the most points in a set time period. Tactics, navigation and fitness are all challenged as you visit different checkpoints battling against the clock whilst discovering new MTB routes and just maybe enjoying the beautiful scenery of Scotland.
This event is set in the forests around Peebles, including Glentress, where 30 checkpoints will be scattered across the area and the challenge is to see how many you can collect in the 3 hour time limit!
You can do the event solo or in a team of 2 (mixed, vet or generation teams available - see http://www.smbo.org.uk/peebles-1st-may/ for more details. You can also download a copy of the event map)
You can enter online or on the day. Try it, it's so much more interesting than just doing the trails.
