Guide athlete wanted
Jessica is an ex-paraolympic swimmer and is looking to make the move to triathlon with the aim of competing at the Rio paraolympics. Unfortunately Jessica's guide athlete is no longer able to work with her, leaving her unable to compete. If anyone is interested in becoming a guide athlete for Jessica or knows of anyone who might be interested please could you let either Martin Gore (mpgore [at] hotmail.com) or Linda McLean (linda.mclean69 [at] gmail.com) know. To be a guide for Jessica you would have to be female as competition rules state guides must be of the same sex.
We are also looking to get a tandem for her to train on if someone has one they are not using. Finally, if anyone coming to Monday swimming in Portobello lives near or passes by Leith (Ocean Terminal) and might be willing to offer Jessica a regular lift to swimming, please also get in touch.
