The last few races of our handicap competition have taken place, and final results are out.
At the standard distance Scottish Championships (Knockburn), perhaps the flagship race of the Scottish calendar, Anne Peat placed 2nd in her category, with a top ten finish for Adam Chmielowski and a solid performance from Katie Bain.
In Peebles Robert Hume scored best on the day in finishing top ten, and Lucy Proud was back in action too.
At Craggy Island cross regulars Peter Ness and Neil Aitken did their stuff and scored well, however biggest score of the day was Andrew Leiper.
Andrew’s points added to his other excellent results through the year means he finishes top of the Handicap Competition table and wins the coveted Davie’s Rock trophy. Congratulations to Andrew who races often and his win is testament to a determined comeback from a difficult injury last year. Well done!
In second place is Grace MacKenzie with consistently good results, and in third previous winner David Fraser in a Celtman season!
Well done to everyone who represented the club this year and best of luck with winter training, ready for next year of course. ...See more
