ERC triathlete wins European Tri-Cross U23 Championship and Scottish Cross Triathlon Championship
ERC triathlete Rory Downie raced as a pro in the European Tri-Cross Championships at the Hague last weekend and won the under 23 Championship. It was a 1k choppy sea swim, a gruelling 26k mtb over the beach and sand dunes, followed by a 9k trail run back over the dunes. He was 9th fastest pro in the senior men's category, 6 minutes behind the winner, Victor Morales, who also won this year's Ironman Lanzarote.
Rory also won the Scottish Cross Triathlon Championship on Saturday 21st July.
