Race Team

The ERC Race Team is a selected group of riders (men and women) who are fully committed to getting results in National events across Scotland, and are financially supported by the club. A large race squad and the support of one of the biggest clubs in the UK allows ERC race team members to realise their full potential. Get behind your favourite rider and follow their season in the race news.

Team riders have a proven record of top placings and are fitness tested by ERC coaches as part of the selection process.

Development Squad

Trying for the team places are the development squad riders, focused on racing and looking for results. Any rider with enthusiasm that can hold a wheel can join this squad and get guidance and support from the coaches and race team riders. Women's Racing

In recent years, Edinburgh RC women have racked up fantastic success at the very highest level winning British Road Race Series titles, Scottish Time Trial Championships, Scottish Road Race Championships, British Masters Road Race Championships, and European and British Masters Track Gold Medals. Two squad members have gone on to ride professionally for teams on the continent.

The women now combine with the men in the ERC race team and development squad channelling all riders into the top ranks of the sport.

ERC has one of the biggest women's memberships of any cycling club in the UK. Whether you are an experienced competitor or a complete beginner, we provide an extraordinary breadth of opportunities to develop your sport within a friendly and supportive club.
