The ERC Tri Squad is Edinburgh RC's multi-sport sub-section, whose aim is to promote the sport of triathlon to all ages and abilities through a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. Whether you're a total beginner or racing competitively, we have lots to offer. The club is run by the members through volunteering which means everyone has the chance to get involved - whether you aspire to be a top level coach, or to help collect the swim subs, you will also have something to offer the club!

Training
Edinburgh RC has several qualified triathlon coaches, and runs regular training sessions, including at least three swimming sessions every week. All the coaches volunteer their time and members are welcome to suggest and help organise new sessions. In addition, every year we organize popular triathlon-specific training week-ends, we have monthly 'Saturday sessions' for skill development, brick sessions and more. Check the What's on? page for the latest times and locations, and for an overlook of club training and activities read the 2012 ERC Tri-Squad Information Newsletter.Racing
Racing can be fun and rewarding, as well as a great way to make sure you keep attending those training sessions! We encourage members of all abilities to take part in races and ERC regularly fields a large team entry in triathlons and duathlons across Scotland. Our members compete at all levels of competition, from local events to international and World Championship level. Each year ERC Tri-Squad has a club handicap championship where you accumulate points by racing and improving on your own previous results. A race calendar focusing on Scottish triathlons is at the bottom of this page, and many other races are listed on EntryCentral.com.Events
ERC club members organise various multi-sport events, including the popular Winter Duathlon series. For 2012, the Tri Squad's race organising body, Edinburgh Racing, has 4 races planned, including the Scottish Championship Sprint race in Lochore Meadows. Details of current club triathlon activities are posted on the What's on? page, and social activities are organized through the erctrisquad Yahoo! group and mailing list.
