Social Media Pages
The club has a few social media pages for the different disciplines that we take part in. Some of these are sometimes hard to find or know about, so this page has them all listed in one place to help.
The club Facebook Page has lots of news and events about the club as a whole, including some of the club-wide events that we organise. There is a small discussion section, but this is not often used, so if you would like the club to post about something on the page, please email Euan who co-ordinates the posts.
The club Twitter account also posts news updates from club events and from competitors. This is also the best place to see news from related organisations such as Scottish Cycling that are retweeted by the club.
The club Instagram feed reposts photos from club members that tag the club account. Following the account is an excellent way to keep up with what some of the younger members are up to.
There is also an official club Strava Page. This is for members only and your name will be checked prior to entry.
There are separate Facebook groups for those that ride Track, Triathlon and those that Time Trial. These are open groups that anyone can post to, and tend to have a more open dialogue. There is also a separate page for the Midweek 10 mile TT series that runs in the summer, results are posted on this page as well as here on the website.
The Triathlon Squad
There are separate Facebook Groups for the ERC Race Team as a whole, as well as for the Women's Race Team and Junior Race Team. These are closed to members of the squad, but if you are interested in signing up to a team, then please message the relevant Team Co-ordinator via our Contact Page.
We also have separate Facebook Pages for some of our events during the year. The Youth Season Starters Crits have a page here, the Hart's Cyclery Crit Series page is here, and the Inch Park Cyclocross page is here.
Other Useful Pages
There are lots of other good social media pages for cyclists and triathletes. Firstly the sport governing bodies of Scottish Cycling, Scottish Cyclocross and Triathlon Scotland are good to follow. For those that TT, the page of the CTT Scotland District is also useful.
For info on midweek training rides, the Edinburgh Training Rides group is useful, N.B. these are not ERC rides. For racing news around Scotland, all bikes scotland run by the indefatigable HARRY TWEED. Thomas Haywood, Bob Marshall and The Press Room are also a great source for race photos.
