We are excited to announce the return of the Midweek Summer Time Trial Series for 2024 and are pleased to have JDS Gardening Services as an event sponsor. The series will run for 14 weeks from May through August. In addition to the A199 Macmerry course that we used last year we are planning to try some interesting new courses to offer variety and to challenge different rider skills. As per previous years the final week of the Series will be a hill climb event. We encourage everyone to participate whether you simply want to try a time trial event for the first time, have a few goes over the summer to test your fitness or compete weekly against your peers for a Series title. Additional information about the series is provided down the page and regular updates and results will be posted on the event Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/ERCTT. Alternatively, if you have specific questions you can contact Steve Canney via email at canneysd@outlook.com.

RULES & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Each Midweek Series event will be a CTT Type B event subject to CTT regulations and the following:

  • Series points awarded for each event on the basis of timed results whereby the fastest rider each week will be awarded 40 points, the second fastest rider 39 points, third fastest 38 points, and so on.

EVENT REGISTRATION & FEES: Entry for each event is via the CTT website here: https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/club-events. The entry fee is £5.00 for adults (includes £3.00 CTT levy) and £3.00 for youth under age 16. (NOTE: The events are not yet live on the CTT website).

EVENT SCHEDULE: Series events will be run on Wednesday evenings with the first rider setting off at 7:00 pm. Events dates are per the following schedule:

VOLUNTEERING: Delivery of club events and activities is dependent upon the support of volunteers. As this is a weekly event we need a small number of volunteers each week to manage registration, timekeeping and marshaling. We expect adults who participate in 3 or more events to volunteer at least one time to support the cause.
